El workshop incluirá preferentemente los trabajos de funcionalización y modificación de la superficie de dispositivos biomédicos mediante técnicas de preparación y fabricación de capas superficiales y topografías, así como aspectos relativos a la interacción biológica. De especial interés son los siguientes tópicos:
Técnicas de modificación superficial, funcionalización y recubrimientos
Modificación superficial para: prótesis e implantes, liberación de fármacos, andamiajes para ingeniería de tejidos o medicina regenerativa, y resistencia bacteriana
Interacción superficie-proteínas y superficie-células
Tribo-corrosión y propiedades mecánicas de superficie
